Torreón de Paredes wines were awarded Double Gold and Gold Medals
Last February 2014, the SAKURA JAPAN WOMEN'S WINE AWARDS, 2014, took place in Tokyo.
For the very first time in Japan, a selected group of female professionals from the trade, women with deep knowledge on wine, gathered to taste over 1900 wines from around the world. Out of this myriad of wines 4 Torreón de Paredes wines were awarded Double Gold and Gold Medals.
With Double Gold medals were awarded our Carmenere Reserva Privada 2007 and Late Harvest Sweet Raquel 2009. With Gold medals were awarded our Merlot Reserva 2011, and Rosé 2013 (The label for this Rose wine was designed by Keiko Inohara, President of Niche Trading, our Importing Company in Japan.)
We are extremely happy with these accolades which are the result of over 10 years of hard work in this very demanding market. Now, who said wine is a men's thing?
